Sometimes, life throws you some curveballs, just for the fun of it.
For those of you that follow me on Twitter, you may have seen the commute-drama that unfolded this morning for me. Long story short: Public transportation and Katherine did not get along today. MARTA had some emergency at their North Ave station, and delayed us for about 25 minutes over a few stops before finally getting us off the trains, and offering a bus for us to take into Downtown. One bus. For hundreds of people already queued. Excellent. So I walked. And grabbed a bus about halfway. And then had to get off and walk more. A 30 minute commute turned into 1.5 hours.
When I got off the train to walk, I had time to chill my irritated-self out. And then I started to realize that it really wasn't the worst possible moment. These thoughts occurred to me:
1. It is BEAUTIFUL outside today. Cool air and warm sun, a perfect Friday Spring morning. It could have been raining :P
2. I had flip flops in my bag. Thank goodness, because otherwise I would have had to walk in these:
3. When I got on the bus, the driver was SO NICE. The bus was packed out, and all he could say was how excited he was that it was more than his usual 4 passengers. He even let us cram in up to the front window.
4. People were SO CHILL. The bus driver had to ask a lot of us to get off because a wheelchair had to get on, and everyone was ok with it, saying things like "Happy Easter!" and "This is further than I would have been able to walk, so thanks!" Yay.
So you know what? What seemed at first an irritating way to start the day, has turned this into a very Good Friday, indeed. Enjoy your Friday, friends, and let's all look on the bright side of things today! :)

Aww yea! It was a surprising turn of events. Granted, when I heard later all the commotion was caused by a suspicious package prank, I wasn't very happy :P
your haircut is super cute, and those boots are hot!
Thanks Dayka!! You are so sweet.
