Working Girl Meets Chic Girl

When I graduated from college, I knew I needed a "grown-up" bag to get me through the daily commutes, work trips and random busy days at the office. Since I was a MARTA-rider at the time (can you believe how expensive it's gotten with the new fare hike they've approved? I actually think gas for driving each day will actually be cheaper than a train fare monthly pass, ugh!), I needed a bag that I could stuff full with my heels, a book, a flat iron (see why here - oh humidity) and potentially my laptop, too.

I posted about my favorite bag of choice back in the day right here on the blog. I still use it every day, and love that it's leather has withstood the test of time as have the seams and handles. Plus, it's black with a hot pink interior - love it!

Knowing how much time it took me to find that perfect bag back then made me really respect what this gal has done out there. Check out this brand new line of laptop bags from Alesya Bags:

Alesya is a friend of my friend Shameeka at The Broke Socialite (whom funny enough, I mentioned in the other work bag blog post too; she obv brings to mind all fab things in the business-meets-fashion world!) These bags are Alesya's very first line, created out of the same need that I had, a stylish work bag that could tote everything without weighing down your look. She took her search to the next level and decided to just make her own bags. How fabulous.

I LOVE the Kelly Green Girl bag. I can only imagine all the compliments you would get throwing this show-stunner over your shoulder. The interior is stylish too, keeping your laptop snug in place.

For the girl looking for a bag that will match the most items, the Equestrian Tan definitely fits the bill. How great would it look with a good pair of fall boots, skinny jeans and a cropped military jacket? There I go again, imagining outfits to buy and put together based around accessories. I have problems, I tell ya.

Do you have a great work bag? Which in Alesya's line best fits your style?
